De Vormgeving van Pia Louwerens
Pia Louwerens (1990) is in 2012 afgestudeerd aan de KABK in Den Haag. In 2015 ontving ze een Werkbijdrage Jong Talent van het Mondriaanfonds. Februari 2016 zal haar werk te zien zijn op Prospects & Concepts tijdens Art Rotterdam.
De kunstpraktijk van Pia Louwerens bestaat uit performances en conceptuele installaties, waarmee ze zowel de mogelijkheden van kunst als de beperkingen van haar eigen kunstproductie onderzoekt. Van 30 november t/m 12 december is haar werkproces live in de Ruimte van Rolf te volgen. Tijdens deze korte residency zal Louwerens onderzoek doen naar de mogelijkheid haar tijdelijke, poëtische en ongrijpbare performances vaste vorm te geven.
Ze zal zich inzetten voor het gebruik van stilstaande beelden, kleuren en interessante materialen.

Pia Louwerens (1990) graduated from the KABK in The Hague in 2012. In 2015 she received a Stipendium for Emerging Artists from the Mondrian Fund. February 2016 her work will be exhibited at Prospects & Concepts during Art Rotterdam.
The artistic practice of Louwerens consists of performances and conceptual installations, in which she explores the possibilities of art as well as the limitations of her own art production. From november 30 – december 12 her working process will be public in the Ruimte van Rolf.
During this short residency Louwerens will explore the possibility of giving her time-based, poetic and ephemeral work a clear physical shape. She will be committed to the use of static images, colours and interesting materials.
